Never did I expect a ride for me to be anything like the one I received
Dear Matagorda County Cavalry,
Thank you so much for the ride you and members of BCC gave me on June 6th. Even though I knew it would happen eventually, you
really gave me a surprise when I heard the rumble of the motorcycles pulling into the drive. Never did I expect a ride for me to
be anything like the one I received. I’ve been on countless rides with both Cavalries and nothing had prepared me for the emotions
I felt when I realized it was my ride in which ya’ll were going on. I honestly can’t thank you enough for the pride you have left
in me for my choosing to join the military. It was one of the hardest decisions I have made in my life, and the support you all
showed me gave me the realization that people actually care. While I have received nothing but praise for my decision, I know that
not all people are as gracious of the military as others are. I expect that I will receive some aversion to wearing the uniform
but when I do, I know that there is a huge family supporting me the whole way.
